Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#20 - A sick friend - 1995, 1997

With friends this is a cool world; without friends it would be unbearably cold.

As ya know I've had a couple of times where I've been hospitalized for extended periods of time with unexplained raging fevers or surgeries. Those times sucked, there's nothing worse than laying in a hospital bed feeling like crap. Fortunately I've got some of the best friends in the World.

  • Luis took a half day off from work and drove from SF to hang with me while I had my 2nd operation on my first ACL. He was there when I had the horrendous headache brought on by the anesthesia, where I was literally moaning in pain and writhing on the bed. At the time there was no way for me to express it, but I've always appreciated greatly the fact that he made the effort to be there.
  • Jeff drove two hours from the Petaluma area to visit me while I was hospitalized with the 105-106 degree fever. We just sat and shot the bull, rehashing old stories (of which you've now heard about 80). Jeff told me I looked good and because he's Jeff I believed him. A couple of weeks later he told me "Man I was just saying that. You looked like you were about to die!" Again I'll always remember that he took the time to drive 4 hours round trip to see me. That's the sign of a great friend.
