Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#73 - Matt and Jeff return from Europe - 1988

Published June 4, 2006 1:49 PM by Phil Parker

Many of you don't know it but Matt and Jeff finished college a quarter earlier than the rest of us Pit Boys and went to Europe for that quarter. Incidentally I was supposed to go but failed physics 3 times and needed to take one more class to graduate. Oh well!!!

But that has nothing to do with the story. Dan, Dwight and I were sitting around the Pit drinking and watching some television when all hell broke loose. The year was winding down so we decided to trash the house and furniture. We smashed the couch and chairs and old bikes and...too pieces. One classic moment had all three of us jumping up and down on the coffee table, throwing it, kicking it, hitting it with chairs and kegs and not making a dent in it. That was a hell of a coffee table. We rode bikes through the house screaming and flailing, broke a couple of windows and then decided it was time to hit the roof. I climb out on the 2nd story roof and Dan and Dwight start handing stuff up to me. Chairs, Beds, Lamps all were thrown off the roof into the front yard. Then a shopping cart. Then a TV. Then a keg. Then bikes. We were having a grand old time on the roof of the Pit. The neighbors came out and yelled at us. Dan replied "Shut up and go inside it's only 8:15 for crying out loud. Leave us alone" Then the highlight of the excursion. Matt had been to Mexico and bought a ceramic elephant about 3-4 feet long and 3 feet high. We tossed it off and it hit the Keg and shattered into millions of pieces.

We were still on the roof hucking stuff off when a car drives up and out steps Matt and Jeff. They timed their arrival perfectly for the middle of Dan, Dwight and I's drunken moments of raising hell and trashing their house.
