Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#65 - Friendship Only Goes So Far - 1985

Published June 4, 2006 1:44 PM by Phil Parker

Jeff and I juniors in college and in our skiing phase. We are up at Sugarbowl and Jeff's in pain, as the day goes on he is in more and more pain. The pain is in his side. So we are on the chairlift heading up to the top of the run and he turns to me and asks "Phil, I need you to check me for a hernia."

Well, friendship only goes so far, plus I'm a hard drinking college student I'd have no idea what a hernia would feel like. So I had to decline performing the turn your head and cough test on Jeff.

At the end of that run Jeff went to the restroom and relieved himself, fortunately (strangely) that relieved the pain. Guess it wasn't a hernia!

I'd ski through a blizzard, swim across a raging river, donate a kidney for Jeff, but check him for a hernia? Well as I said friendship only goes so far.
