Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#33 - Jeff and My Mother - 1984

Published June 4, 2006 1:33 PM by Phil Parker

Let's take a break from the Bachelor Parties for two tales of trivialities and amusement!

  1. 1984 Jeff and I decide to drop out of school for a year and move to Germany to work in a brewery. We have already requested the application for work Visas. I have started to take German at UCD. Everything is being planned. So now it's time to tell my parents. I head home for the weekend and sit them down and outline the grand plan to them. My mom's classic reply "If that boy Jeff were here right now, I'd kick his ass up to the ceiling!"
  2. Jeff meets up with me and some others in Walnut Creek and we get stinking drunk. Jeff decides to stay at my house. So we head home. We take a break to vomit on the neighbors lawn and then go into my parents house. We make our way up stairs and decide to call our buddy Luis. I'm on the phone with Luis when I hear a loud crash and a tumble. I walk out the room and Jeff has fallen down the stairway and is upside down on the landing. Obviously this woke my parents. My Mother came running out of their room and saw Jeff down there. Jeff made his way back up the stairs and I introduced him to my mother. So that's the story of how Jeff met my mother.

Should note, since these two incidents Jeff has redeemed himself in my mother's eyes. She no longer cringes at the sound of Jeff's name.
