Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#96 - 1996 - What are the odds?

Published June 4, 2006 1:59 PM by Phil Parker

Several of us were golfing at Bajamar in Mexico. 3rd or 4th hole I'm 225 yards from the green with a lake guarding the front. The group ahead of us is on the green. I ask Jeff "Should I hit, I'm 225?" Jeff responds "Go ahead, What are the odds?" Well while that exchange takes place the group ahead finishes up and gets in their carts and starts to drive off. I hit and my ball flies over the green and smashes into the cart of one of the group ahead, hitting the tag on his bag and shattering it. He drives off.

About 2 holes later I hit another shot from about 200 that goes over the green takes a couple of hops and nails the same guy on his ankle. He was not amused!!!

I hit the same guy twice from over 200 yards and the phrase "What are the odds?" has now taken on a meaning of it's own and comes up easily at least once every time we are together golfing!
