Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#91 - The Fun Club - 1988

Published June 4, 2006 1:57 PM by Phil Parker

Dan, Brent, Jeff and I (and perhaps others) decided one night to go pound some Schaefers on the grass by Putah Creek in Davis. As we were wont to do at the time we pounded quite a lot of Schaefers and probably some Bergies. In our drunken haze we started to roll on our sides down the grass embankment. Suddenly Brent started to scream "The Fun Club, The Fun Club" and started rolling and rolling (you probably all think I'm going to say he rolled into the Creek, nope) until we heard a sickening Thud, Brent had rolled off a 3 foot high retaining wall and opened a nice oozing strawberry of a wound on his leg.

We then proceeded to break into the house where the crew team kept it's boat (or whatever they call them) and we decided to carry one of the boats out to the creek and take it for a spin. We started to move it when we heard a loud crash, the pontoon like thing on the side of it had snapped off. We ran! The next day in the newspaper there was mention of vandals that broke into the boathouse and broke one of the boats. We were never caught!

Just one of those harmless miscellaneous drinking nights that has always stood out in my memory for some reason.
