Jeff Cadle Stories

As the Millenium changed I sent out to my friends a listing of my Top 100 memories of my first Millineum. Jeff played a prominent role in many of the memories. I've included several memories/stories about Jeff in this site for your amusement. Please feel free to email me any stories or memories you have of him and we'll add it to either the Stories or the Blogs page appropriately.

#47 - The Strange Powers of Jeff - 1985 to Present?

Published June 4, 2006 1:40 PM by Phil Parker

I believe you all know Jeff. Well what I bet you didn't know is that he has amazing powers, far beyond those of mortal men.

In 1985 Jeff and I went to a blood drive at UC Davis to donate blood. Something we did at every blood drive. We had both donated a pint (quart? gallon? whatever they take) and were sitting at the tables eating our donut and waiting to be allowed to leave. Jeff turns to me and says "I wish that somebody would faint." At that exact moment the guys sitting across the table from us passed out in a heap, as he fell his girlfriend screamed and tried to grab him but only stopped his body, his head smacked into the ground.

Lest you think the timing was a coincidence I bring you to 1991 (1990? 1992?). I don't remember why, perhaps the Warriors were about to play the Lakers or something, but I called up Jeff and asked if he could use his powers and wish for Magic Johnson to get injured. Jeff agreed and wished for something bad to happen to Magic. Well, 2 days later Magic called his press conference and announced he had HIV and was retiring. A little overkill on Jeff's part but it's tough to control such power!

For those of you that have seen Jeff when he starts speaking in tongues, perhaps at those moments we are getting a glimpse of where his Strange Powers come from.
